GABRIEL GUEVARA
Product Designer & Artist
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Gabriel, an MBA graduate and Product Designer based in Tokyo since 2016. My journey has taken me through various roles—customer service, marketing, social media management, finance, art coaching, university instructor, global business development, and design. But at the core of all these experiences, one thing has remained constant: my passion for understanding people and designing solutions that truly meet their needs.
The Designer
Currently, I’ve found my sweet spot, merging my love for visual arts and technology as a Product Designer at a Tokyo-based startup. What excites me the most about UI/UX design is the process of bringing ideas to life—transforming concepts into intuitive, user-centric experiences. For me, design is about more than just aesthetics; it’s about problem-solving, simplifying complexity, and creating products that seamlessly integrate into people’s workflows.
The Artist
Beyond product design, I’ve always been deeply connected to the arts. Painting, whether digital or traditional, has been a core part of my life for over 20 years. I work with various media—digital painting, oils, watercolors, acrylics, inks, sumi-e, charcoal, and more—each allowing me to explore different facets of my creativity.

If my approach to design and creativity resonates with you, let’s connect!
What makes me tick
I thrive on the thrill of creation—whether it's designing intuitive digital experiences, painting on a canvas, or making music. The process of bringing something entirely new into existence fuels my passion, and I love the challenge of refining and improving ideas until they truly shine.

What I bring to the table
At my core, I value cohesion, endurance, and teamwork. My experiences across various industries have sharpened my ability to bridge creativity and business strategy, ensuring that design decisions are not only visually compelling but also aligned with real-world objectives. I excel at problem-solving, fostering collaboration, and maintaining a disciplined approach to time management.
How I spend the rest of my time
When I’m not immersed in design or art, I’m out staying active. Whether it’s daily runs, weekend volleyball matches, or hitting the slopes for some snowboarding in the winter, I love balancing creativity with movement. And of course, you’ll often find me strumming my guitar or working on my next painting.
